Walking Dead is a fairly new show, although they are already in season 2. They have only 6 episodes in each season, but those episodes are really well made.
It's about this guy who wakes up after being in a coma, and find that everyone around is dead, and the world has been thrown into a zombie apocalypse. So it's about his fight to find others that survived, and to keep on surviving.
At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it, because I'm more of a vampire kind of girl (Buffy, True Blood and Anne Rice, NOT Twilight and Vampire Diaries) and not much for zombies. But my brother talked me in to watching it. He said something in the lines of "Murphy from Boondock Saints (Norman Reedus) is in it, and he's big muscled, sweaty and angry all the time..." And so I was sold. But I didn't want to see it alone. Not much for horror this girl. So my brother was willing to re-watch the first season with me.
This is a series with action from start to end. No slow unnecessary scenes here. It's probably because they have so few episodes to do it all in. The special effects are amazing and the zombies are so well made up it really blew me away.
I get really in to everything I see, which is why I don't do well with horror or splatters. And I really got in to this series too. I got kind of scared, yelled "HURRY" a lot and almost cried in a few places. All in all a good watch, and I recommend it to everyone.
And if some of my friends read this: Don't worry. If you ever turn in to a zombie, I would be the first to shoot you in the head.
